Light in a Box

T-minus 46 hours until I fly halfway around the world. Most of the times, people say that and it’s nothing but hyperbole. Halfway is really just across a piddly ocean. Halfway is a new continent. Halfway is the East Coast.

I really mean it. Come June 3, I will be in Mumbai. Literally halfway around the world from Los Angeles. I checked it on a globe.

From June 3 to July 31, I will be taking 15 googlebytes of pictures and posting them here. I’ll get more into the project I’m working on later, but for now, here’s a list of posts you can look forward to reading:

  • The reason I went to seminary
  • Why I do what I do
  • The goal of Light in a Box
  • Arts, not crafts
  • The one where I try to be an extra in a Bolliwood movie
  • Harassing monkeys
  • The quest for a burrito in the land of samosas
  • Zombie Hank visits the Taj Mahal
  • Malaria and me
  • Basitball diaries
  • Another story of me getting lost in a foreign country
  • Pictures of telephone poles
  • Doodling and prayer
  • And a whole bunch more

Seriously, I have an internet connection at the place where I’m staying, so I will be constantly updating this throughout the summer. This is just the first of many.
